Happy Tales

Here are only a few of the lucky bunnies we have placed in their forever homes. If you would like to share your Happy Adoption Tale, please email us at info@AlabamaEARS.org.

rhett.jpg

Rhett is just the cutest little guy. He loved to be petted so we are thrilled that he went to a home where a devoted human was waiting to give him all the TLC he wants. Rhett also had a spayed girl waiting for him so the pair can live in best friend bunny bliss.

reaganadopted.jpg

Reagan was adopted a while ago but his forever family sent us this recent photo. We thought it was so adorable that it just had to be on the website. Regan is a very busy boy and we hear that he likes to supervise the humans in his household as they go about their business. He is a special little bunny boy and we are just thrilled that his forever home loves him so much.

piccolo2.jpg

Piccolo was found starving and insfested with mites when he was found wandering the streets by a caring police officer. Piccolo is an attention-craving bunny so we are happy he has gone to a home where there are plenty of nose-rubs and ear gentle ear scratches in his future.

clayton.jpg

Clay is now living with his best girl bun in his forever home. Although it was hard for his foster mom to say goodbye to this socialble bunny, she is glad that he went to such a great home.

brock.jpg

Brock was a very busy bunny in his foster home so we were happy to place him in a home with lots of running space. Brock now has two humans ready to lavish him with attention or a special treat whenever he wishes. To see some adorable photos of Brock in his new home, Click here

rusty.jpg

Rusty was adopted by a loving, professional couple in Tuscaloosa. We know Rusty is in good hands--his new mom and dad are no strangers to house buns and will give Rusty all the love and attention that he deserves.

brooklyn.jpg

Brooklyn was a sweet, petite foster girl who now has a forever home. Her mom and dad have even bonded her to a best friend and she is living in best-friend bunny bliss.

Joey-319x238.jpg

Joey had been in EARS foster care for a long time. We think it was because he was so shy and took time to warm up to new people. We are happy to say that not only does he have another bun to snuggle (Brooklyn) but he now has a forever home with all the love and attention a bun could ever want!

linus.jpg

When Jakob Linus met his new mom for the first time it was love at first sight! Linus ran to her right away--we guess he knew he had found his forever home. Jabobs' mom reports that he is very happy in his new home. That makes us happy, too, because we thought these two were the perfect match.

peppermint.jpg

Peppermint had a wonderful life and was loved deeply before becoming an EARS bunny when his human mom, Elizabeth, went to The Rainbow Bridge. Peppermint has been adopted by a wonderful home where his two human caretakers feel they are lucky to have adopted such an incredible bunny. We suspect Peppermint feels quite lucky himself to have such doting parents for the second time in his life.

pooh_marc-355x227.jpg

Pooh and Mark were long time residents of EARS so we are thrilled that they have been adopted to the perfect home. They are treated to daily world class spoiling and luxury accomodations in their forever home.

snacks_haschen.jpg

Herr Haschen, left, was adopted when Professor Snacks, right, came to EARS in search of a best friend. Hachen, whose name means Mr. Bunny in German, wants everyone to know that he and The Professor are living in best-friend bunny bliss!

grannine.jpg

Grannine was rescued after being abandoned outside and became an EARS bunny. Rascal (pictured left) was in a loving home, and when his parents thought it was time for him to have a best friend, Grannine went to her forever home! Rascal and Grannines love story can be read in the Fall 2003 issue of The Rabbit's Tale.

sophiejj.jpg

JJ, left, was an adorable EARS foster bunny. He was adopted as a companion to Sophie (right). You can read about JJ's way of communicating with his human mom in "Living With a Biter" in the Spring 2003 issue of The Rabbit'sTale.

rufus.jpg

Rufus is the poster bun for EARS. He was an outdoor bun, was covered in mites, his skin was cracked and bleeding when he was given up to the Tuscaloosa shelter and rescued by EARS. He eventually lost most of his fur but you can see it has grown back beautifully! When Mia came into foster care, Rufus fell in love with her! When it became apparent that they were really in love, both buns were adopted together. They are so happy together!

oein_m.jpg

Oein (Left) was an EARS foster bunny who came to us from the Calhoun County shelter. He was a tiny baby, and seriously dehydrated when he was brought into the shelter with his mom and siblings. He was so tiny and weak that we weren't sure he was going to make it through the next few days. Lovingly nursed by his foster mom, Oein did make it and grew to be a happy and healthy adult bunny. In September 2003, Oein fell in love with Mopsy and moved to his forever home. Unfortunately, Oein crossed over the Rainbow Bridge in December of 2003. We find comfort in knowing that Oein was loved by his mom, his foster mom, and Mopsy, and that Oein was a very happy bunny!

nualla2.jpg

Nualla was abandoned outside to fend for herself. Lucky for her, EARS was able to rescue her before it was too late. Now she has a wonderful new home and is loved and cherished!

bunbun.jpg

BunBun was in foster care the longest of any of our single bunnies. Now he has been adopted by Fostering Director, Linda Howard, and shares the main floor of her home with his new bonded buddy, Boogie Bun. It is so wonderful to see them cuddling together!

mocha_cremora.jpg

Cremora and Mocha Latte were rescued from a desperate situation before they became EARS bunnies. Now they are the cherished bun-children of Paris and David.

gabe2.jpg

Gabriel was left outside of the Shelby County Humane Society late one night. He had a horribly injured eye. When it was determined the eye couldn't be saved, Dr. Atlas operated and removed it. Now he has his own permanent home and his own bun-wife, Dottie!

zoe.jpg

Zoey came to us as a tiny baby from the Greater Birmingham Humane Society. She now lives in Georgia with bonded buddy, Winston.

berry.jpg

Maggie came to us from the Lee County Shelter. She has now gone to her forever home in Huntsville, Alabama. Her new mom, Glenda, loves her very much!

scout.jpg

Scout is a wonderfully friendly little guy! We are so happy he found a forever home and now has Thumper for a bonded buddy!

noah.jpg

Noah came to us from the Lee County Shelter. Now he lives happily ever after with his new bun-wife, Amelia, in Birmingham.

mopsy_beau.jpg

When Mopsy lost her bonded mate, Oein, her family came back to EARS to find a new friend for her. Now Beau and Mopsy are a loving pair!

angel.jpg

Angel came to us from the Lee County Shelter. Now she is in her forever home and back in Auburn, Alabama with her mom Jackie.

willy.jpg

Willy was abandoned outdoors when his owners moved away. Now he is happily living with Barbara in Remlap, Alabama.

ashton3.jpg

Ashton was the escape artist of the foster home. Now he is too happy in his forever home with his bonded buddy Tigger. He never wants to escape again!

shadow_roo2.jpg

Andrew "Roo" was adopted as a companion for Shadow. These two are so in love now they don't remember what life was like living as a single bun! They live with their mom and dad in Tuscaloosa.

camille.jpg

Camille was an EARS bunny who needed a forever home. When she was adopted she got her home and a best-boy bunny friend to boot!

dylan.jpg

Dylan is bonded with Camille and they live together in bunny bliss.

bubb_charl_jasm.jpg

Jasmine now lives happily with her new family in Montgomery. You can see she adores her new bonded buddies Bubbles and Charlie!

chelsea.jpg

When Chelsea was adopted to her forever home we were all happy for her. When her parents returned to EARS to adopt another bun, we all cheered! Chelsea and Calvin are now bonded buddies and are so happy to have a new mom and dad!

calvin.jpg

Calvin was the perfect neutered boy-bun for Chelsea. They snug like buns in a rug! We are happy that this loving couple have such a wonderful forever home.

marcus_caroline.jpg

Marcus and Caroline were part of a group of five that were rescued from a local shelter. Marcus was quite a character - visiting all the girls at night when no one was looking! He settled on Caroline, the girl bun of his dreams. He loved to stretch out beside her (or over her). they were adopted by a family in Memphis. We wish them many years of happiness together in their forever home.

baxter_grace.jpg

Grace and Baxter were adopted by their foster family, Ron, Connie and JB. Baxter came to us from the Lee County Shelter and Grace was picked up from the clinic room at an area shelter, minutes from being euthanized. Grace and Baxter loved to stretch out side by side in their separate pen which is how they became best friends.

connor_emma.JPG

Connor and Emma were both EARS bunnies. Now they know the joys of having a best-bun friend.

hannah.jpg

When Willy needed a friend, Barbara came back to EARS for a companion. After trying unsuccessfully with a couple of other girls, Willy decided that Hannah was the one. They are now living happily together with Barbara in Remlap.

buster.jpg

Sam was a sweet New Zealand White mix who was found wandering the streets of Tuscaloosa. He was in foster care in Huntsville. Glenda came back to EARS to find a friend for Maggie who was adopted in December 2003 from EARS. After a date with Sam (formally Buster), it was obvious it was a match made in heaven.

BabsSnook12-291x266.jpg

Twinkie and Noodle came to EARS as best friends and went to a wonderful home as best friends. They are adored and cherished by their new mom in their forever home.

fiona.jpg

Fiona went to a wonderful home where her furry coat is no problem! Fiona is spoiled by her forever home with all the TLC and attention she wants.

logan.jpg

Logan is a happy boy in his happy forever home. We weren't surprised when he was adopted--he is a very loving bun with an active personality.
