A blurry photos of two very, very busy girls.

Margo and Isabell (a.k.a. Busy Izzy) have a complicated history. They were both rescued from an abuse case with several other rabbits at the same time. All the other rabbits have found forever homes. However, both Margo and Izzy were more standoffish and reserved so they didn't endear themselves to foster home visitors.
To complicate things more, Margo seems to suffer from regular sinus infections and has a tendency to snore--loudly! She sounds like something between a tea kettle and a human who snores. Of course we've had her under veterinary care since the day she arrived at Alabama EARS and it seems the diagnosis is chronic sinus issues. Luckily, she doesn't have to been treated regularily with medicine but does on occasion need a steam bath to help her breathe.
Isabelle is such a busy, busy girl. She needs to run and run and run. She seems to have a well-defined purpose in life: get busy and get it done. Because of her independent nature (she prefers to interact with you on the floor and her running around you) she wasn't really social enough for most households. We moved her into the room with Margo (they were living by each other not with each other) so each girl could at least have some company of their own.
Well, with time, these two girls became best friends. Okay, so we knew it was a possibility so we thought we'd leave it up to them. Isabelle was the one to move in with Margo and both girls have been happy with the arrangement. They now rule the guest bedroom (which is quite a site as the girls are only about 2.5 lbs each).
Both girls are nice--they just don't want a lot of human attention that includes petting. Oh, sure, they are VERY interested in taking banana or greens or any other treat offered but would rather not have have long petting sessions after you've given up the treat. Izzy is still as busy as ever and Margo, although not as active, finds time to play and hop about all the while entertaining whichever house human has happened to stop by for a visit.
Although these girls are now a pair, and are in sanctuary care, we still have hope that the right someone will come along and not see their independent personalities and Margo's snoring as a negative. If you think you might be that forever someone please email us. If you think you might be interested in fostering these girls forever....we'll we'd love to hear from you as well.
(To be considered as a "forever foster parent" you must have some experience with special needs bunnies.)
