Dear Friends and Members,
Have you been thinking of taking in someone who was left homeless by
Hurricane Katrina? Well, here's your chance! How about someone small,
cute, and furry who is easy to love?!!
Alabama EARS has taken in 7 rabbits who were made homeless by Hurricane Katrina. We need temporary foster homes to help care for this bunnies!! We know that many of our members are not able to foster bunnies normally, but might consider it under these special circumstances.
If you could foster even one bunny, even on a temporary (2 -3 month) basis, we would love to hear from you! Contact Us
If you are unable to foster but would like to help the hurricane bunnies in other ways, please consider donating equipment (exercise pens, toys, food dishes, etc), veterinary care (gift certificates to Riverview Animal Clinic) or gift cards to Target or Wal-Mart which we use for buying veggies. We would appreciate it so much, and we know the bunnies would, too.
Linda Howard has been in touch with HRS people in Slidell, and what the rabbits have been going through in shelters there has been stressful beyond belief. Alabama EARS would like to make sure that their stories all have happy endings. We hope you will all join with us to give these bunnies a warm, Alabama welcome!!
Best wishes,
