BYOB (Bring Your Own Bunny) Party

Alabama EARS held our spring
BYOB party on March 22,
2003.  Of course, only healthy,
neutered rabbits were in
attendance.  It was a great
opportunity for members to meet
the reasons behind EARS....our
bunnies!

Hay Day
February 22, 2003

Hay is an essential part of every rabbit's
diet. At Alabama EARS, we prepare
boxes of timothy hay and sell them
through
Riverview Animal Clinic under
the direction of Dr. Alvin Atlas.  It can be
hot and dusty work but it only takes an
hour or so and the benefits to the bunnies
are great.  Dr. Atlas generously uses all
money from the sale of the hay in our
"hay fund" to help cover the cost of spays
and neuters of our foster rabbits.

If you would like to volunteer for one of our hay packing parties, contact us and ask when the next scheduled
date is.  If you would like to purchase some of our hay (and thus support the spay or neuter of an abused,
neglected or abandoned rabbit) you will find plenty of boxes at
Riverview Animal Clinic.

Do Dah Day
May 10, 2003

Do Dah Day is an annual parade and outdoor music festival held in Caldwell and Rhodes Parks on
Birmingham's Historic Southside.  It is a major, annual fundraiser for area organizations benefitting animals.

The parade kicked off at 11:00 a.m.  After the parade, Caldwell and Rhodes Parks were the place to be
for a day filled with free concerts.  Each park featured a variety of music from blues to pop, folk to fusion,
and rock to country. The festival , also, featured a variety of great food and drink.

Special thanks to Philip Barr and Mary Alexander
for building our float!!  It was fantastic!!
