Photos of The Babies!

We are fostering some baby bunnies for Hunsville Animal Services.

These baby bunnies were only a few days old when we were asked to temporarily take them into our custody and care for them until they are ready to be adopted. The bunnies will not stay with us forever--after they are old enough to be spayed and neutered, they will be avaliable for adoption through Huntsville Animal Services.

We'll provide more details when the babies are old enough to go to forever homes, and have been spayed or neutered.

UPDATE: We'll keep putting the most recent photos at the top of the page.

This is beautiful Sienna. She looks a lot like her mamma! (See Lizzie here

These boys have been named Lenny and Squiggy by their future mom! She came to visit the foster home and fell in love with these boys. (We call them the Twins even though Lenny is a little bigger and they have individual personalities.) These boys will go to their forever home after they have been neutered. But until then, we are happy to report that the Huntsville Animal Services has two ADOPTION PENDINGs!

Lucca is by far the most social of the bunch. He was the first one to seek out attention from a human (lucky foster mom!), and he is very interested in being cuddled and loved on by foster home visitors. He's a little guy, too, which only add to his adorable-ness factor.

This gorgeous boy is Brownie. He's the only light-brown bunny of the bunch. He is also the first one to "get" the litter box. Of course, the others will follow as they get older. We just think Brownie might be in the gifted program.

Do you have all your buns in a row? Here is a good photo of all the babies cuddling together. This photo was taken shorlty after the bunnies arrived at one of our Birmingham foster homes. UPDATE: All the buns have names now. From left to right: Lucca (boy), Sienna (girl), Lenny (boy), Squiggy (boy), Brownie (boy).

This was taken during their first photo session. The small grey bunny in the front is Lucca. He was the first bunny of the warren to seek out the foster mom and ask for attention.

When they are this young, the babies really like to cuddle together.

This little one likes to explore! The bunies are still too young for us to tell if this is a girl or a boy. Upate: This is Lucca! He is one super sweet boy.

Here are two of the babies playing! My goodness, they are growing so quickly! Upate: Sienna (left) and Squiggy.

This little grey guy (YEP! He's a boy) sure makes it easy to trim his nails. Of course, we'll see if that holds as he grows up. Upate: We're pretty sure it will! This is Lenny and he is an armful of love.
