Onyx and Emil are best friends and brothers. They have been pals since they were born so when they "asked" to stay together after coming to the foster home we obliged.
The brothers were abandoned by a home owner during the sale of his house. They were only a few weeks old when we took them in so they have been lavished with lots of attention, the proper diet and medical care since they were babies.
We think one of the reason the boys are so friendly is that they have been loved on since they were only a few weeks old. It really is a pleasure to sit on the floor with them each morning to hand out banana or small pieces of apple or pear. In these few moments of pets and hugs and fruit the rest of the world ceases to exist--talk about living in the moment.
Emil is clearly the big brother. He is faster to eat, faster to explore and was the very first boy to open up to attention. He was also the first of the bunch to start seeking the affections of foster home visitors.
Onyx is a little shy, only in comparison to Emil, but still wants PLENTY of attention from foster home visitors. He does prefer to be close to his brother when it's time to play and explore outside of his apartment, but that isn't an issue. When it comes to being lavished with attention, however, he is as brave as a bunny can be.
Both boys have sweet dispositions and enjoy being petted and loved on. They enjoy the company of their foster mom and don't seem to be shy when visitors arrive. They share one litter box and neither are picky eaters.
Both boys must be adopted to same wonderful home and must be kept as a group after being adopted. They are bonded, they are best friends, and we've promised to keep them together as long as they wish. Oh and as all of our bunnies are before they can be adopted, both boys have been neutered.
