Isabelle
Isabelle has a strong, independent personality and she does not enjoy being picked up, held or being petted. She loves a good salad or daily piece of apple and is always excited to see her caretakers at meal time but other than that she'd prefer to play by herself without being touched. We're okay with that because we know that a happy, playful bunny can be as much of a joy to love for the right person. To us, there is nothing more wonderful than watching Izzy kick up her heels and run over to her box, then through a tunnel, then back to her box and hop up on top. But we also know that not everyone wants a bunny who doesn't want to be petted and that is why finding a home for Izzy is more challenging.
Izzy is a bunny who needs lots of toys because she seems to have a well-defined purpose in life: get busy and get it done. Isabelle came to us after having a hard start in life. Before EARS, she was confined to a tiny cage and never had the chance to get out and run and explore her world. Since she has been with us, she has developed a wonderful sense of who she is and we love the independent spirt of this little girl.
Busy Izzy is also excellent in her litter box (another bunny who we are sure is in the gifted program). She needs to go to a home where the humans understand who she is and won't try to change her and possibly want to set up obstacle courses for her out of cardboard boxes and cement tube tunnels. With time, and the right home, Issy might become more in to petting but we'd like the home to adopts her to love her no matter who she is.
Izzy might be a good candidate if you already have a neutered boy bun who is shy or looking for a forever friend. Because she is so small and energetic we don't think she is a good match for a home with small children.
