This page is in memory of George P. Bunny Sides and in honor of Dr. Atlas and the staff of the Riverview Animal Clinic.
Recently, Alabama EARS received a donation from Amy and Jeffrey Sides in memory of their rabbit, George P. Bunny Sides, and in honour of Dr. Alvin Atlas and the Staff of Riverview Animal Hospital in Birmingham. We appreciate the Sides' generous gift. We feel this is an opportunity to both remember a wonderful bunny, and to express our own appreciation for Dr. Atlas and the Riverview Staff.
From his photographs it is easy to tell that George P. Bunny was a rabbit with personality to spare, and that he was well-loved (dare we say spoiled rotten?!) by his family. When he developed head tilt, they wanted him to have the best care possible, and brought him to Dr. Atlas. Although George eventually passed away, his family remain grateful to Dr. Atlas and the Riverview staff for the excellent care George received there.
Dr. Atlas has been consistently generous and supportive of EARS from the very beginning. We would never be able to rescue the number of bunnies that we do without Dr. Atlas' continuous help, and we are particularly grateful for his expertise with our special needs bunnies. We have learned so much from him!
We are sure the Sides family would agree that the Staff of Riverview are among the most patient and hard-working people we have ever met. We have asked them many favours over the years, and they have never let us down! We hope they know how much we appreciate them and their caring ways.
Again, we would like to thank the Sides family for their generosity. That they were such loving bunny parents for George, and made sure he had the best care during his illness, makes them a wonderful example for all of us!
